This is a lovely Beswick model in much sought after Chestnut colourway of ‘Bois Roussel ‘a famous Derby winning racehorse in 1938-
Model nos 701- so actually the first realistic modelled by Arthur Gredington.
This is a second version, the first version is extremely rare!Available in this colourway only between 1958-1967(book price then £500!!)
He stands 8 inches (20.3 cm)tall and is by painted by possibly the most renowned paintress nos 95.
He is a bargain price because sadly he has one reglued offside leg and light overall crazing otherwise perfect! Highly collectible and displays well never the less!
