This is a Beswick Bois Roussel Racehorse model nos 701 in brown gloss designed by Arthur Gredington and available 1947-1989.

This is a 2nd version with his tail end attached to his leg. This ,along with the Brown 818 shire mare is probably one of the more common Beswick models available but really if you love a racehorse or collect Beswick this model is a must have!

Bois Roussel was a Derby Winner and this is the first realistic horse produced by Beswick and designed by A.Gredington.He was responsible for the vast majority of Beswick horse models between 1939 and 1968 when he retired.

This example is nicely shaded in perfect condition (except for a white spot behind his offside ear as highlighted in the photos) and stands 8 inches (20 cm) tall.Described as gloss brown but in actual fact a bay💁
