This wonderful old model of a Cantering Shire from the Beswick factory was produced between 1961 and 1989 in this colourway…..beautiful with a definite blue hue much desirable in Beswick Collectors circles!
He was designed by Arthur Gredington and comes in at an impressive 8.75 inches 22.2 cm so displays well on its own or in a collection.
It is a very attractive action model nos 975 representing a Shire  enjoying his freedom!
This particular example is a stunner...one of the nicest I ‘ve seen -but she possibly does have a well restored  tip to her offside ear (although I am pedantic about these things and it may always have been like that)… not noticeable unless you are looking specifically for it!
Like 818 this Shire is one of the old fashioned types -note the amount of feather on the lower legs and her lovely beard!
