This is a particularly lovely example of the Welsh Stallion" Gredington Simwnt" 3614 -Beswick model nos 2541A.This model is in the Connoisseur Series .
He was designed by Graham Tongue and stands on a wooden plinth with a metal plaque displaying information about him.
He is light grey Matt in colour and was in production between 1976-1989,and stands 9 inches (22.9 cm ) tall.
Apparently this model of Gredington Simwnt was greatly adapted to produce 'The Spirit of Whitfield'!

The model is based on the actual Stallion 'Gredington Simwnt ' who was a successful Welsh Mountain Pony stallion, owned by Lord Kenyon of Gredington. He is featured in the Beswick Connoisseur ceramic figure series, model 3614, and his lineage includes Coed Coch Madog and Coed Coch Symwl.
