This model was  designed by the one and only Arthur Gredington .She has never been remodelled so has enjoyed the longest production run of all the Beswick Horses.There are plenty of these models still available but this one is particularly pleasing as she’s an early example with lovely shading and muscle tone.
This particular example has the Beswick round backstamp on her tummy.
She is Beswick  model 818 Shire Mare …..standing at 8.5 inches 21.6 cm and  was issued between 1940-1989…..
Her plait in her mane is yellow,she has a large blaze,black mane and tail (I would say she’s a bay -but Beswick always say Brown!)and four white socks.Shes in perfect vintage condition.
