This is a lovely old Beswick model with movement and attitude.He stands 8.5 inches high (21.6 cm) was designed by Arthur Gredington and is aptly known as’ Racehorse and Jockey (Walking He was available from 1976 (with the number on the saddlecloth)The  exact date when production stopped is unknown but they weren’t available for very many years.Model number is 1037.
This example is in brown gloss,the only other colourway available is chestnut …..however for Colourway nos 1-stripes on saddlecloth it was only available in brown gloss!
The jockeys silks for an extra fee could be decorated as the purchaser wished.In this example the jockey is wearing green and yellow silks.I would love to know who commissioned these colours!
In perfect vintage condition with a clear crest Beswick stamp on the horses belly this is a collectors piece…. or perhaps the perfect gift for a lover of horse racing!
