This is a Beswick ‘ The  Winner’model nos 2421 designed by Albert Hallam and available only between 1972-1982.In brown gloss.
A very nice example with a Gold Beswick original sticker and round Beswick backstamp.
He stands 9.5 inches(24 cm) high and is in perfect vintage condition.
Believed to have been modelled on the famous racehorse Brigader Gerald ,a contemporary of Mill Reef,he won an incredible 17 of his 18 races from 2-4 yrs old,and in fact beat Mill Reef in the 1971 2000 Guineas!
