This is probably one of my absolute favourites from the Beswick stable. He is the Welsh Cob (Standing) model nos 1793 in Grey Gloss. He is a 2nd version with top part of the tail (dock) arched away from the body.
A proud stallion in a striking pose this was designed by (of course )Arthur Gredington .He stands 7.5 inches high(19.1 cm) and was only available between 1975-1982 so quite a short production run and hence more desirable and already getting on in years……
In perfect vintage condition with a lovely bluey sheen ,great eye detail and even large dapples….although for complete transparency he does have a light scratch offside body just below the mane and a tiny hole on nearside neck (see photos )…..however a beautiful addition to anyones collection! And a bargain because of these slight imperfections.
A rare and much sought after model ....and a very good representation both anatomically and with its presence of the wonderful Welsh Cob Section D stallion.Strangely this horse is not included in the Series “Mountain and Moorland “....but it should be!
Only one available do not miss him!
