This is a beautiful crisp detailed older model of a Stocky Jogging Mare -3rd version nos 855 from the collectible Beswick stable in brown gloss.Note the shading around her hooves and the multicoloured tail accents.In excellent vintage condition 
She was made between 1961-1989,is hand painted in brown gloss.Her off hind leg is under her body,tail is arched from the body,head lowered and a chunky model.Versions 1 and 2 are both extremely rare and were only produced until 1947,and both are much cruder versions than the 3rd version who is very much in proportion and a lovely looking animal with a 'leg at each corner'
The horse was designed by Arthur Gredington-probably the best and most sought out designer....and is in perfect vintage condition with the older Beswick round backstamp.She stands 6 inches(15 cm) high and also has her original green and gold stamp on her flank!
